The Learning Curve
Hello and a big welcome!
I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Janet , and I’ve been a pharmacist in retail pharmacy for over 20 years, serving communities throughout California. I’ve always had a deep passion for helping others—whether it’s managing their healthcare or offering a kind word at the counter. It’s a joy to serve in both the small and big ways, using the intellectual gifts God has given me.
While working in both chain and independent retail pharmacies has brought its fair share of challenges—rising costs and shrinking reimbursements, to name a few—I’ve been fortunate in recent years to serve in a hospice pharmacy setting, where compassion and care truly matter.
Back in 2020, while recovering from surgery during the pandemic, I found myself with unexpected time on my hands. I decided to try something completely new: learning calligraphy online. Though my demanding work eventually pulled me away from regular practice, the desire to create never left me.
Thanks to the magic of social media, I discovered the world of stamping and die cutting—and it completely opened up a new creative chapter in my life. A couple of years ago, I began working more deeply with Stampin’ Up!, and the rest, as they say, is history!
What’s been most inspiring is finding a supportive, talented community of crafters who freely share their creativity and kindness. I’ve learned that sometimes the simplest cards are the most beautiful—and that even the most complex designs can be incredibly rewarding once you dive in. Through many classes and shared moments, I’ve grown in both skill and inspiration.
So come join me on this creative journey! I craft not only because I love it, but because it brings joy—to me and to others. Just like the joy you see in the photo of my two happy fur babies at the beach!
